What a year! From the beginnings of Cayman Aqualife Academy in January, an international tournament here on the island in March, the first ever interschools championships in June, 8 weeks of summer camp in July & August, openwater swims, travel tours to Florida, the first Carifta debut, and a second year of water polo development in local schools. On the last night of the Orlando tour we formed two teams of 4 kids, gave each team $50, took them shopping with the goal of buying food and cooking a starter and main meal for 5 people: a plate for each of them and one for the judges (parents) to try. The enthusiasm was through the roof, and the energy sky-high! We always end our Beast of the East Tournament like this, and it remains a highlight of our entire trip.
