HOW WE GIVE BACK

... and why we need YOUR support!

Dive Into Adventure with Us

Water polo is still a new and developing sport in the Cayman Islands. While expat families often have easier access to funding, transport, and overseas competition, many local children face real barriers to participation. We work hard to close that gap.

That’s why up to 50% of our programmes run on a voluntary or heavily subsidised basis, ensuring local children can access high-quality coaching, structure, and opportunity — regardless of background.

Scholarships for Local Athletes

Each year, we offer up to 13 scholarships to Caymanian children, covering training fees and programme costs.

These scholarships:

  • Remove financial barriers for talented, committed athletes
  • Provide consistent coaching, structure, and mentorship
  • Allow children to stay involved in sport long-term, not just short-term

For many families, this support is the difference between watching from the sidelines and being part of a team.

Life-Changing International Opportunities

Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, we have taken a local Caymanian water polo team to Orlando two years in a row to compete in an international tournament.

For many of these children, this was:

  • Their first time travelling overseas
  • Their first exposure to high-level competition
  • Their first experience representing Cayman on an international stage

These trips go far beyond sport. They build confidence, independence, teamwork, cultural awareness, and belief in what’s possible.

Parents often tell us the impact lasts long after the final whistle.

Why We Need Your Support

While our reach continues to grow — including a recent viral social media video that has brought new eyes to our work — the reality is that running a programme with such a strong give-back component is financially challenging.

Between covering annual work permits, to running programmes where many athletes pay reduced or no fees at all, it becomes increasingly difficult to sustain the very programmes that make the biggest difference.

How YOU Can Get Involved

You can help by:

  • Sponsoring a scholarship athlete
  • Supporting international travel and competition opportunities
  • Becoming a corporate partner
  • Making a one-off or recurring donation

Every contribution — large or small — directly supports local children and helps us continue this work.
